QUOTES FROM THE SALAF AND THE SCHOLARS: 'THE SA'AAFIQAH CHASE BEHIND TAZKIYYAT TO RAISE THEMSELVES ABOVE THE PEOPLE'
The Allaamah Muhammad ibn Haadee حفظه الله و ورعاه said about: الصعافقة:
They are running behind the Tazkiyaat (recommendations) and send the students of knowledge to collect the tazkiyyat for them from the people of knowledge and the praise and eulogies upon them.(This is) in order to be raised among the people, and spread and publish it and they become reliant only upon the Tazkiyah (recommendation), not upon the truth. If you look and find the compounded ignorance, these (you should), beware of them.
