Qur'an And Sunnah And Not Opinions
The scholar of hadeeth Al-Albaanee رحمه الله said:
"The deen(1) isn't (understood) with (our) intellect(alone),and not with (our) understanding, but it is with following the rulings of Allaah in His Book and the rulings of His Messenger in his sunnah and in his(authentic) hadeeth."

(1) قال تعالى: إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الإِسْلامُ
Allaah The Most High says which translates to mean:
" Indeed the deen with Allaah is Islaam." 3:19
قال أبو جعفر: ومعنى " الدين "، في هذا الموضع: الطاعة والذّلة ... تفسير ابن كثير رحمه الله
Abu Ja'far said: meaning "The Deen" in this situation : Obedience and humility." Tafseer Ibn Katheer رحمه الله
وَمَن يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
"Whoever brings a deen other than Islaam it will not be accepted from him and in the hereafter he will be from the losers. " 3:85
أي : من سلك طريقا سوى ما شرعه الله فلن يقبل منه... تفسير ابن كثير رحمه الله.
Meaning: Whoever treads a path other than what Allaah has legislated it will not be accepted from him. Tafseer Ibn Katheer رحمه الله
The scholars say Islaam means:
الإسلام : هو الاستسلام لله بالتوحيد والانقياد له بالطاعة والبراءة من الشرك وأهله
Islaam is a complete submission to Allaah with Tawheed and an unyielding obedience to him and a separation from ascribing partners with Him and (a separation from) its people.
