Question posed and translated by: Abu
Yusuf Khaleefah
Q3: What are the books that you
advise those who live in the west that don't have scholars in their lands with?
A: Of course those who live in the
west or in any land where there are no Ulamaa, firstly I advise them with some
affairs:
·
The first affair: If it is easy
for them to call and travel to the Ulamaa, this is a tremendous good. It is the
origin with regards to the acquiring of the knowledge.
·
The second affair: If this matter
is not made easy for them, then it's possible for them to benefit from the
tapes or the recorded lessons of the Ulamaa by listening to them. If anything
becomes problematic, they call the Ulamaa by way of phone and seek
understanding of the affairs they didn't know.
I
also advise them to read the books of Shaykhil-Islaam Muhammad Ibn
Abdil-Wahhaab (rahimahullah) as was mentioned. I also advise (them) to read the
Fataawaa and treaties of Shaykh Abdil-Azze Ibn Baaz (rahimahullah), as well as
the books and the treaties of Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih al'Uthaymeen (rahimahullah).
Also I advise (them) to read the books and treaties of Shaykhil-Islaam of our
time, Muhammad Naasir ad-Deen al-Albaani (rahimahullah). Indeed, these three
Shuyookh of-Islaam (rahimahumullah), their books are very beneficial. Also it is
to be said about their books that which was said about the books of
Shaykhil-Islaam Muhammad Ibn Abdil-Wahhaab (rahimahullah) from the aspect of
the simplicity and easiness of the books. The capability of the student of
knowledge to benefit from their books is easy.
